with stubbed toes.

Papercuts on 

soft fingertips and

scratched up knees

 from an afternoon

spent climbing trees.

Poked eyes, bitten 

tongues, snapped bones,

bruised elbows.

Tick-bitten arms and

long-forgotten burn scars.
